Source Code

Knuspr ("Kinderleichtes Nukleinsäure SuchPRogramm") has been my main research since 2003. It is still under development and the software not very useful for end users, but I hope that the algorithms and ideas serve as inspiration for others working on the auto tracing of nucleic acids.

The source code of knuspr as of Nov 12th, 2010 is provided "as is". The source code also contains project files for Eclipse (I use "Eclipse Helios" for development) but no makefile. The project uses the clipper libraries from Kevin Cowtan and the GNU Scientific Libray.

The user name to access the source code is "knuspr", the password is "EH1leixai". I hope this prevents robots from downloading the source against agreement to my license.

End users/ Donating test data

Test data of nucleic acids is very difficult to get hold of for developers.

The code of knuspr is in no state where it would be useful to end users, which is also the reason why currently there is no documentation available.

If you have a data set which you would like to run knuspr against, I am happy to try it out for you. Please send me an email. I will treat your data confidentially and make no claim of co-authorship or alike.
